I don’t think I am much of a blogger because I fail to write with any regularity. My life is full of starts and stops with interests followed always along certain tangents. One of those tangents is dogs. I miss Maisy still but I want a dog again now. I’d been getting by with Rover visits and my occasional dog park visits which have grown in frequency this year. Since meeting Chance last year I’ve gotten interested in ACD, Australian Cattle Dogs. They seem to have the intelligence and droving history of Rotts in a smaller package with a longer lifespan. The latter two being of interest to me after losing my third Rottie Maisy at only 7. Well part of my interest is joining breed groups and learning about the breed more thoroughly. After that I began looking at adoption and rehoming groups alongside pertfinder. A few weeks ago I saw this young girl at my local shelter– http://faaspets.org. She is allegedly half ACD and half Jack Russell Terrier. I don’t know much yet about JRT besides seeing Eddie on Fraser, but I like the idea of a mutt and hopefully more vigor besides the sizing. She is a sweetie and this guy Paul seems to be her regular walker. I went last Wednesday to meet her off leash and then saw her again on Saturday when I checked in an delivered a hard copy of my application.
